GreeceFeeding Minds, Fighting Hunger was launched in Greece on World Food Day 2002. One major initiative is being undertaken by the Hellenic Committee for Feeding Minds, Fighting Hunger, a newly formed and officially recognized NGO for the FMFH initiative. The Committee, composed of prominent personalities from the academic, artistic and business world, as well as from government, launched its activities for Feeding Minds by holding a Symposium at the National Research Institute in Athens on 16 October, 2002. Held in collaboration with the Aristotelian International Cultural Institute, the Symposium "Myth Against Hunger" aimed to raise awareness in Greece of the problems of hunger, malnutrition and food insecurity in the world and signalled the beginning of efforts by the Committee to introduce these topics to Greek students and youth.
